Description

Question for the great people who run this website - I appreciate you are busy and your time is donated to this project, but I hope you can help.

I previously submitted a ticket, and now find that my email address is being posted on your website (under View Tickets). Can I please have this removed ? Sorry to ask this, but this is the first time I have used Trac, and was previously under the belief (why I don't know - maybe I was being v dim at the time) that I was using a sort of forum, where my email address wouldn't be displayed.

( and how do I contact you outside of this ticket to let you know who I am ! )

For myself, I will know of a reply when I look at this post again.

Thanks vm

  • type changed from defect to support

Your e-mail address probably ended up in the CC: field of a ticket so we could notify you when we make updates to your ticket. A drawback of this current ticket system (that does not require e-mail addresses or accounts to be able to add a ticket), is that well over half of the tickets posted are incoherent and vague and the reporters never return to answer our questions.

If you tell us which ticket is yours, we can remove your e-mail address from the CC: field. If you put your e-mail address in the "Reporter" field, well, it's there for eternity. Our contact information is in the same place it's always been: on the wiki page called "Contact Us".
