Message Log needs pause/resume buttons for logging

In the event that the message log is is rapidly generating output and the screen buffer is quickly being overwritten, it would be desirable to be able to freeze the output by stopping the logging in order to aid debugging etc. A button with a togglable state from pause to play could be added to the message log toolbar.
