Description

Hi,

Great work with Vidalia.

A nice addition would be a feature that listed the current end-users private (real) and public (exit node) IP addresses. This would make it easier to verify Tor is running correctly while avoiding the necessity of visting showmyip.com or similar.

Thank you

  • milestone set to Vidalia 0.0.5

This will be mostly solved by our circuit and stream visulization that we already have in development (see the TODO and the Vidalia 0.0.5 milestone. So, you will see not only your exit node IPs for whatever circuits you have built through Tor, but also where in the world you're exiting from.

  • resolution set to fixed

Users can see where in the world their traffic is going with our new network graph, as well as the IP of the exit node for a particular stream or circuit. This also allows users to verify that their traffic really is going through Tor.
