Description

Sorry for being a newb, but this feature confuses me. How do I use it? It doesn't show up in my advanced settings option, but from what it sound like it seems to be really useful. Will it allow me to have a static IP every time I use Vidalia/Tor? Thanks for any more information on it.

No, the "Run As User" option does not allow you to have a static IP every time you use Vidalia/Tor. All it does is starts Tor with a User option. From the help documentation:

If you enter a value for Run as User, Tor will setuid to this user when it starts.
